Construction adjudication - British and Danish viewpoints and experiences
Abstract
Construction adjudication is a unique method of resolving construction disputes quickly and cost-effectively. It is interim binding and was conceived specifically with the construction industry in mind. Both the British and Danish legal systems have given special consideration to adjudication, establishing statutory frameworks to support it.
This seminar, led by academics from Stockholm University, King’s College London, the University of Copenhagen and Lund University will shed light on the key features of construction adjudication, both in its statutory and contractual form. The panellists will assess the success and pitfalls of the existing systems and discuss what different jurisdictions can learn from each other to improve the effectiveness of adjudication.
